形態特徵

• Culms solid, ca. 1 cm in diam., tall reed, to 2 m tall.
• Blade ca. 12 mm wide; ligule tongue shaped, ca. 4 mm long, ciliate.
• Inflorescence an oblong panicle, to 20 cm long. Spikelets paired, monomorphic, upper pedicellate; lower sessile, ca. 2.5 mm long: Lower glume coriaceous; as long as spikelet, broadly lanceolate, truncate at apex, upper margins folded, ciliate, sericeous abaxially; upper glume deltoid-lanceolate, coriaceous, margins membranaceous and folded, fimbriate, as long as lower; lower floret reduced to merely a lemma, membranaceous, fimbriate on upper margin and apex, ca. 1.8 mm long. Upper floret membranaceous; lemma oblong, somewhat truncate, fimbriate, upper margins fimbriate, 1-nerved from basal part, concave at middle or lower; palea deltoid-lanceolate, fimbriate, ca. 0.7 mm long.

分布

• 台灣 : along rivers at low elevations.
• 世界 : Widely distributed in the tropical parts of southeastern Asia.
